Ropeyness rules with soviet guns - probably only the rifles were reasonably well finished after 1941. Now you've got all that metalworking experience under your belt, fancy making me a PPS43?

Unfortunately, I haven't really learned that much about metalworking, since others have done that for me! What on earth would you want a butt ugly PPS43 for anyway?

Used to have a Deac - heaviest bastard gun ever. Loved by the troops, for some reason...

Latest update, stock and receiver are 99% done now, just minor sanding and detail work before a final paint. I may also extend the trigger slightly. The only "proper" thing to do is get a robust hop up sorted. I have an idea, which needs my old mans' brazing skills to fix in place. ROF is excellent and the mag feeds extremely well.

Thankyou. It's still a bit "ropey" though. Unfortunately, painting it has shown up some of the imperfections in the barrel shroud, which will have to be sanded, filled and repainted. The devil is in the detail and, while I'm no "stitch nazi", I am a bit of a rivet counter when it comes to making guns.

Heh, a new phrase - "rivet Nazi"!
Great job, Pete - you will be the envy of all your friends!
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
That's a work of art! Congrats!
